february baby sweater in september

Eine Freundin aus meinem Studium ist vor kurzem Mama geworden. Und natürlich habe ich es mir nicht nehmen lassen für die kleine etwas zu stricken. Und da ich so auf von EZ geschriebene Anleitungen stehe, bot es sich doch an den february baby sweater aus Knitters Almanac zu stricken. Die Knöpfe werden mit so Schlaufen geschlossen.

A friend from my field of study became a mom. And of course I couldn't resist to knit something for the little baby girl. I like patterns written by EZ so I decided to knit the February baby sweater from knitters almanac. The buttons are close with small straps.

Für Mädchen ist diese Jacke einfach wunderbar. Das Lochmuster würde ich auch keinem Jungen antun ;)

For girls this jacket is just perfect. In my opinion the lace pattern is also for girls only ;)

In meinem letzten spinnbezogenen Post hatte ich die drei fertigen Spulen gezeigt, die ich für dieses Garn gebraucht habe. Ich habe sie jetzt also verzwirnt und wirklich dick ist das Ganze nicht geworden, aber sooo schön! Es ist dünner als Sockenwolle und ich weiß gar nicht, was ich damit machen soll, außer es zu tätscheln. Eigentlich war ja eine Mütze geplant, aber mit so dünnem Garn vergesse ich das doch gleich wieder.

In my last post with spinning content I showed the three full bobbins for this yarn. Now that I three plied it it didn't get really thick but it is sooooo nice! It is way thinner than sock yarn and I really don't know what to do with it but hug it. Actually I wanted to knit a hat but with so thin yarn I rather forget this.

Dann habe ich noch einen Kammzug von SPACE!romantic fibers versponnen. Etwas dicker als Sockenwolle (und fluffig!), aber für eine Mütze wie ich finde untauglich, denn das grün/neongelb ist mir etwas zu grell. So langsam freunde ich mich aber mit dem Strang an und werde demnächst mal eine Maschenprobe anfertigen.

Then I spun the top from SPACE!romantic fibers. It is a bit thicker than sock yarn (and fluffy/bouncy!) but for a hat not really my style. The green/neon yellow is a little too bright. But we are getting friends and I want to make a swatch with in in the near future.

box bag and embossed leaves

Seitdem ich voll und ganz in mein neues Zimmer gezogen bin, hat meine Nähmaschine auch einen Platz bekommen, an dem sie immer stehen kann und somit sehr schnell einsatzbereit ist. Deshalb musste ich auch gleich das Box Bag Tutorial von Dragonknitfly ausprobieren.

Since I live in my new room my sewing mashine has a place where it can stand all time so I can use it. That's why I had to try the Box Bag tutorial from Dragonknitfly.

Ich fands ein wenig schwierig das alles zu verstehen, weil ich eigentlich nie nähe, aber durchs Stricken wird man ja hart im nehmen da fürchtet man sich nicht vor drei Mal auftrennen.

I think it was a little difficult because I normally don't sew but you get stronger through knitting: I wasn't afraid to rip the thing three times.

Zur Zeit befinden sich meine embossed leaves socks aus dem Buch Favourite Socks darin. Sehr praktisch ist dieses Täschchen nämlich für Stricktreffen.

At the moment there are my embossed leaves socks from favourite socks in it. This bag is really convenient for stich'n'bitch.

Diese beiden Schätzchen habe ich bei Yummy Yarn gekauft. Das erste ist 110g 50/50 Wolle Sojaseide und der lilane ist 110g 80/20 Merino Seide. Die Seide ist so unglaublich weich und der Strang mit der Sojaseide ist noch viel weicher!!

These two darlings I bought from Yummy Yarn. The first one is 110g 50/50 wool/soysilk and the purple one is 110g 80/20 silk. The silk is incredible soft and the soysilk is even softer!!

catching up

Richtig Lust hatte ich in den letzten Wochen nicht zum bloggen. Das heißt zum bloggen schon, aber nicht dazu Fotos zu schießen und zu bearbeiten. So richtig fertig habe ich auch nichts bekommen. Mit der BSJ bin ich am kämpfen. Nachdem das Baby geboren war, hatte ich keinen Ansporn mehr die Jacke fertig zu stellen. Jetzt fehlen nur noch die Knöpfe und das zusammen nähen, aber ich habe auch keine Lust mit Fimo Knöpfe zu machen und kaufen soll ich sie nicht...

Lately I wasn't in the mood to blog. Well I wanted to blog but didn't want to take pictures. And I also didn't finish anything. I'm fighting with the BSJ. After the baby was born I had no incentive to finish it. Only the buttons are missing and I have to sew 2 seams. But I am also not in the mood to make Fimo buttons and I shall not buy them...

Ich finde sie sehr süß und denke, dass ich sie auf meine Prioritätsliste schreiben sollte.

I think it's very cute and I should put it on my priority list.
